Can you sell your car online during the lockdown?

Yes you can. Buyers such as Cash For Cars can collect from your home. We are able to calculate an estimated price for your vehicle based on shared information such as make, model, mileage and age.

What COVID-19 safe practices is Cash For Cars using to ensure the safe collection or delivery of a vehicle?

Let us walk you through the process of how we deliver and collect vehicles.

  1. Hand sanitising

Our drivers sanitise their hands before leaving the Operating Centre (and also on return).

  1. Early delivery slots and avoiding rush hour.

Deliveries start earlier in the day so to avoid large numbers at first drop off points. Rush hour is avoided.

  1. Social distancing maintained at all times.

Drivers ensure a 2 metre safe distance at all times at collection points.

  1. No touch signature’.

Drivers use handheld devices where the customer can sign without touching the device therefore avoiding any cross contamination.

  1. One key handler.

Only the driver handles the key to the vehicle transporter.

  1. One vehicle loader.

Only the driver is allowed to handle the loading of the vehicle onto the transporter.

  1. Use of nitrile disposable gloves.

Worn by the driver when handling keys, touching doors and driving vehicles.

  1. Authorised PPE.

  1. Dynamic risk assessment.

Completed by drivers on each vehicle prior to loading it. Any safety concerns are reported to the Transport Manager and the loading is stopped.

  1. Safe handling of keys.

Keys are requested to be left either in the vehicle itself or left in a safe place so no physical contact is made.

  1. Keys sanitised on delivery.

Drivers will sanitise all key touch points such as gear stick, controls, door handles, before leaving it at the delivery location.

  1. Solo unloading at the Operating Centre.
